Credit cards are used on eMarketeer as a method of payment for your subscription.
At eMarketeer you pay in arrears, which means your subscription is paid after each month of use.
Therefore you register a credit card at eMarketeer and thereby allow us to capture the amount owed at the end of each month for as long as your subscription is running. When you cancel your subscription, or register a different card, your old credit card is removed from our system.
Does eMarketeer store my credit card information on their servers?
No, we use a secure and trusted vendor for all credit card information and transactions. https://www.dibspayment.com/
Your card is stored in DIBS secure and certified system and eMarketeer only gets a reference to that card so that we can capture your subscription payment. eMarketeer never gets access to your card number and can not use it in any other way.
What happens when I register a card?
When you enter your card information you are not longer on the eMarketeer server. All card information is captured on DIBS secure server and is not revealed to eMarketeer. Your card will be checked for validity and trust, and after a successful registration at DIBS, eMarketeer receives the following information from DIBS.
- Masked card number, with only the last 4 digits visible.
- Expiry date
- Card type
- A reference ID which allows us to capture funds from your card
This means eMarketeer stores no vital information that could be used in fraudent activities by us or anyone else.
