Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds a second verification step to your eMarketeer login to protect your account from unauthorised access.
This article explains how MFA works and how to enable it for yourself or enforce it across your account.
MFA requires two or more verification factors before granting access to a resource. Instead of only a username and password, MFA also asks for an additional factor, which reduces the risk of a successful attack.
MFA works by requiring extra verification information. A common factor is a one-time password (OTP) — a 4 to 8 digit code delivered via email, SMS, or a mobile app. A new code is generated periodically or each time you sign in. An attacker would need both your password and access to your MFA validator (mobile number, mobile device, or email account) to get in.
In eMarketeer, go to Account settings and open Edit my account.
Click to enable MFA.
MFA is set to disabled by default unless your administrator has enforced it for everyone on the account. The next time you sign in, you are prompted to configure your authenticator. To do it now, sign out and sign back in.
Administrator privileges are required.
In eMarketeer, go to Account settings and open User Accounts.
Enable the option to enforce MFA for all users.
When enforced, every user is prompted to complete MFA setup on their next sign-in.
