User accounts

How users work in eMarketeer — the two user types, what each can do, and the additional privileges you can grant.

eMarketeer has two types of users: Marketing Users and Sales Users. Each account subscription includes a set number of licenses for each type. These limits can be raised.

A user can hold both a Marketing User license and a Sales User license at the same time.

Marketing User

A Marketing User has access to the main eMarketeer workspace — campaigns, emails, forms, contacts, journeys, and reports.

Additional privileges that can be granted to a Marketing User:

  • Administrator — access to account settings and user management.

  • Developer — access to the full HTML source in the email editor, webpages, apps, and the JSON editor in forms.

  • CRM Web panels — access to eMarketeer panels embedded within an integrated CRM system.

Sales User

A Sales User has access to the Lead Board and can be assigned to one or more sales teams to receive and work leads. See Sales users for instructions on granting sales access to a user.

Additional privileges that can be granted to a Sales User:

  • Administrator — access to account settings and user management.

  • CRM Web panels — access to eMarketeer panels embedded within an integrated CRM system.

User licenses

Your subscription includes a defined number of Marketing User licenses and Sales User licenses. The number in use is visible on the User Accounts settings page. If you need more licenses, contact eMarketeer support.

Inviting users

An administrator can invite new users from the User Accounts settings page. eMarketeer sends an invitation email to the address you enter. The user becomes active after accepting the invitation and completing registration.

If you invite someone who already has a user account on another eMarketeer account, no new user is created. The existing user gains access to the new account. The invite does not count toward your license usage if the user account was already being paid for by another account.

Login security

All users log in with their email address and password. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is available for an additional layer of security. Administrators can enforce MFA for all users on the account.
