eMarketeer ships with two sets of default lead score rules, so scoring works out of the box even before you build your own.
Lead scoring is most useful when you set up rules tailored to your business, but the defaults give you a starting baseline. The default rules are active by default and apply to every contact on the account. The intended score range for the defaults is 0–100 points.
The defaults are grouped into two score sets.
Rules based on a contact's marketing engagement, such as link clicks and web visits.
Clicked a link in an SMS — 5 points
Clicked any link in an email — 5 points
Clicked any link on a landing page — 5 points
Submitted any form — 15 points
Visited a landing page — 5 points
Visited any page on website — 10 points
The time frame is 3 months for all engagement rules. A contact only earns the points if the event happened within the past 90 days.
Rules based on data on the contact card, such as demographics.
First name is set on contact card — 2 points
Last name is set — 2 points
Job title is set — 2 points
Company is set — 2 points
Country is set — 2 points
Phone number is set — 2 points
You can edit, deactivate, or remove the default score sets at any time. See this tutorial to set up your own score rules.
