reCAPTCHA for eMarketeer Forms

reCAPTCHA is a CAPTCHA system provided by Google, which allows web hosts to distinguish between human and automated access to websites. All eMarketeer forms that are published after April 25th, 2022 have the reCAPTCHA protection. This is shown by displaying a grey and blue arrow icon at the bottom of the hosted Form pages, which means that this system is active for the page.

reCAPTCHA prevents bots from submitting fake answers to your Forms which otherwise may fill your report with unwanted activity and create fake contacts in your eMarketeer account. The reCAPTCHA system works for both eMarketeer-hosted forms and if you’d like to implement them directly on your site. It’s easy to implement, just follow the steps provided by eMarketeer when you want to publish the form.

reCAPTCHA v3

You might recognize earlier versions of CAPTCHA, where it might ask you to find objects in images, like trucks or traffic lights, or decipher text that is hard to read, to verify that you’re not a bot.  But this version of reCAPTCHA (v3) is different as it instead analyzes how the visitor interacts with webpages and uses this to classify the visitor as either a person or a bot. This means that you don’t have to worry about your form visitors being disrupted when submitting your form.

If you would like to read more about reCAPTCHA, you can find it in Google’s documentation.

Turning off reCAPTCHA

You can turn off reCAPTCHA for Forms on your account via the related option on the Account’s Integration settings page.
